The IC4KI Interdepartmental Center intends to achieve, within the University of Turin, a scientific institution with a strong vocation for interdisciplinary research, grafted into the local, national and international context capable of enter in relating to the companies and subjects who work for innovation and competitiveness of the territory, attracting public and private funding, to develop and integrate fundamental research, collaborative research and high training.

The "Center" wants to be an interpreter of new phenomena and a protagonist of a strategic and propulsive action oriented towards strengthening the institutional role of the University as a center and hub of the development, through research of the growth and of territorial competitiveness.

On the basis of that premises, the "Center" proposes itself as an innovator subject capable of promoting, of activating and coordinating a wide process of knowledge exchange and of collaboration in research among the actors, aimed at increasing the territories' capacity to face the local challenges and global.
